About this document
A prenuptial agreement is made by two people planning to marry. It records what each owns and owes, what stays separate, how property will be held during the marriage, how earnings and the home are treated and what each intends should the marriage end. It takes effect only if the marriage takes place.
This blank form leaves every figure and choice to you, and does not deal with children, which are for a court. Whether and how a state will enforce a prenuptial agreement depends on matters such as disclosure, independent advice, timing and fairness, and a court may review terms about support. Each party should consider their own lawyer; the form records that each has had the chance to.
