Key features
Description by make, model or serial number
A blank for the goods and their quantity, make, model or serial numbers, so there is no doubt what is being sold.
Deposit and balance
A payment section with a deposit line, a due date for the balance and the way it is paid.
Risk and ownership passing separately
Two blanks for when risk passes and when ownership passes, which are not always the same moment.
The seller's confirmation
The seller confirms it owns the goods, they are free of any charge and it may sell them, with a line for any further assurance or that they are sold as they are.
Checking on delivery
The buyer can check the goods and tell the seller of anything missing, damaged or not as described, and the seller replaces, repairs or refunds.
About this document
A sales agreement records a sale of goods from one party to another: the description, the price, how and when it is paid, delivery, and the point at which risk and ownership pass. It gives both sides one written account of the deal.
The form is a blank to complete by hand and sign. It has no figures filled in for you.

Questions
About the sales agreements
A bill of sale mainly records a transfer of ownership. This agreement also sets out the terms of the sale: payment, delivery, checking the goods. Where you only need proof of the transfer, a bill of sale may be enough.
