About this document
A lease addendum adds terms to an existing lease without changing the rest. It names the lease, says what the addendum is about, sets out the terms added, any payment, the conditions the tenant accepts, who is responsible for damage or nuisance and when the landlord may withdraw permission.
It is a blank to complete by hand and sign, with a guarantor line. It says which term wins if the addendum and the lease conflict, and that it ends with the lease unless it says otherwise. Whether a landlord can charge for a pet or additional occupant, or withdraw permission, depends on the state and local rules.
